A Group Counseling Practice for Improving Middle-School Students’ Self-Esteem

This study aimed to investigate the effects of a self-esteem development program on middle-school students in seventh grade. The included 21 with low self-esteem, which 11 were experimental group and 10 control group. After identifying participants, researcher implemented an eight-session program, each session lasting 90 minutes average, for Non-parametric Mann Whitney-U test was used determine whether there significant difference between pre-test post-test score averages groups. Wilcoxon Signed Ranks within-group scores results indicate that group, who participated activities, increased. There no change discussed interpreted light relevant literature.
